Early Years

Tottenham Hale Tube Station, located in North London, has a rich history that dates back to the late 19th century. It was originally opened on May 15, 1868, as part of the Great Eastern Railway's extension of its line from Stratford to Enfield.

Station Expansion

In 1894, the station was expanded to accommodate the new Tottenham and Hampstead Junction Railway (later part of the Great Northern, Piccadilly, and Brompton Railway). This expansion included the addition of a new station building and platforms.

In 1933, the station became part of the London Underground when the Great Northern, Piccadilly, and Brompton Railway was incorporated into the network.

Modernization

In recent years, Tottenham Hale Tube Station has undergone extensive modernization works. In 2012, a new ticket hall and concourse were opened, providing passengers with better access to the station. The station was also made step-free in 2014, making it fully accessible for all passengers.

Today

Today, Tottenham Hale Tube Station is a major transport hub in North London. It is served by the Victoria line and the Overground, and is also a popular interchange station for National Rail services. The station is located in Zone 3 of the London fare zone system.
